Work

I started working at the age of 15 (year 1996) during sunday and sometimes saturday at the cockpit arena in our place. Our house is 15 meters away from the arena. I was being convinced with my highschool classmate to work there as a "tindera/vendor" of the vendor business of one of the owner of the arena that sells food, drinks, cigarettes, candys and other needs of people inside the arena.

We are paid for 30pesos for Sunday and 50pesos for Derby on Saturday which just happen during holiday's or fiesta. I save my earnings to buy myself shoes and dress. Such a great feeling to earn with your own hard-work. That job lasted for 1year because I've been during my senior years doing extra curricular activities in school. During Summer, I also worked in a local eatery near in our home (1997). I do the cashiering and was paid for 700pesos a month not bad, I work to expense my birthday party my birthday is on the month of May. I'm not used to asked my parents to spend for my birthday, I'd rather myself to expense so that everything is being planned.

During my College days, after my class I do part-time job as an Encoder at the Internet Cafe near at home. I paid 3pesos per page. I am also a Student Assistant in graduate school, I do a lot of encoding jobs to the DEAN of graduate school. During enrollment period, I am also one of the data entry encoder in the Registrar. And the last part-time job that help me a lot becoming of what I am now was being a Clerk or Internet laboratory In-charge in our University.
